SOCIAL SECURITY
Social security is one of the pillars of the Belgian social system and is founded on solidarity between all citizens. It enables our country to guarantee a replacement income for the unemployed, people unable to work, and pensioners, for example, or to offer an income supplement (child benefits, health care benefits) that covers certain costs. FEB aspires to create a business climate conducive to social development and aims to keep social security spending under control (most of these costs are funded by employers).

An optimum business environment is vital for a sound economy and sustainable growth. FEB aims to help create and maintain such an environment by, among other things, closely monitoring all issues of direct relevance to businesses. Here, grouped into 17 themes, are the issues on which FEB focuses most of its attention and action.
